Blackpool’s university centre has been heaped with praise by its national inspection body - giving it more commendations than Cambridge University.
Blackpool and The Fylde College was assessed earlier this year by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA); regarded as the Ofsted equivalent of university level study.
The praise means the university centre has had more commendations than any other Higher Education establishment in the UK to date.
The College not only met every standard outlined by the agency, but had 11 areas of good practice identified.
> The relevance to the world of work in assessment tasks
> The positive contribution of the equality and diversity agenda to the enhancement of learning opportunities
Principal and Chief Executive Bev Robinson said: “We are extremely proud of the Higher Education standards at the University Centre.
“We deliver the very best learning experience to our HE students.”
