A JUDGE handed a suspended jail term to a man who admitted assaulting a nurse.
District Judge Jeff Brailsford gave Bernard Rose, 48, a 16-week jail term, suspended for 12 months, after he admitted twice attacking his partner.
Dana Gledhill, prosecuting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court, said Rose had returned to the house he shared with a woman after watching a football match.
He was drunk and during a row punched her in the stomach and face.
He left the house and returned the following day and then kicked his partner, who is a nurse.
Steven Townley, defending, said the relationship had ended and his client was now living in Holloway, London.
