Police arrested a 47-year-old woman on suspicion of a string of motoring offences, including drink driving.

The pictures, showing the car several feet off the road before it was loaded onto the back of a truck, were taken by a nearby resident.

Firefighters were called to make the scene of the incident safe but reported there was nobody trapped in the vehicle.

The driver was treated for “minor injuries”, police said.
