A SUPERSTAR DJ has cooked up a storm – but has he done enough to secure the grandprize?

Blackpool’s Jason Fubar took centre-stage on hit Channel 4 show Come Dine With Me last night, wowing his guests with a three-course Thai banquet in a bid to scoop the show’s £1,000 top prize.

Fubar, a regular DJ at town centre night spot Revolution, served his four guests Thai fish cakes with a sweet chilli sauce, a green chicken curry with jasmine rice and Notarianni’s famous Blackpool ice cream – complete with popping candy.

The 38-year-old, who lives in Blackpool, said: “I think my night went very well.

“I can cook but I very rarely do, so I practised my dishes a few days before.

“The key to my success last night was getting everybody really drunk – as soon as they arrived they had cocktails.”

Housewife Kathryn Hoskisson – nicknamed “the cougar” by her guests – hosted Monday night’s dinner party at her home in Laverton Road, St Annes, while Blackpool medium Paula Paradaema hosts tonight’s party.

The final two hosts are driving instructor Jason Howitt from Arundel Road, Ansdell, and self-confessed party girl 26-year-old Nicole Barrow, of Silverdale Road, St Annes.

During the week all the guests rate each other’s food in secret, with the host with the highest score at the end of the week netting the cash.

And with his big night out of the way Fubar – who entertained his guests last night by turning his Mere Farm estate home into a nightclub complete with dancing girls – said there are plenty of reasons to keep watching.

He added: “The experience was fantastic, I loved it.

“On the first night everyone was very tentative but everyone has got their own little characters and traits.

“Kathryn is the older cougar clinging onto her youth, I’m the young buck DJ who’s a showman and there are three more characters still to come.

“There’s a bit of cattiness later in the week as well – there will definitely be a few more twists and turns before the final on Friday.”

On Monday night the guests donned their old school uniforms for Kathryn’s dinner party, and tonight’s host Paula requests a “spiritual” dress code for her dinner.

Tomorrow, Jason’s theme is a music festival while Nicole throws a night of red carpet glamour on Friday.

The show is on Channel 4 until Friday at 5pm, with an omnibus edition on Sunday.
