Disabled cat rescued from tree

Firefighters performed their good deed for the day when they were called out to a disabled cat stuck up a tree.

The cat, which had been struck by a car previously, had been trapped for two days in Halton Avenue, Cleveleys.

Firefighters carrying out training with an aerial platform on Tuesday morning were asked by the RSPCA to help out at around 10.30am, and the cat was brought down safely.
