A TEENAGER accused of causing the death of a car passenger has appeared at crown court.
Naomi Jones, of Carr Drive, Kirkham, has been charged with causing the death of 17-year-old Elysia Ashworth by dangerous driving.
Miss Ashworth died after the Vauxhall Corsa in which she was a passenger collided with a tree on Division Lane, Marton, on July 11 last year.
Jones’ case had been listed for a plea and case management hearing when she appeared at Preston Crown Court yesterday.
However, the hearing was adjourned by a judge at the request of the defence to a new plea and case management hearing to take place on June 11.
A date for possible trial in the case has been identified as October 23.
The 18-year-old was remanded on unconditional bail by Judge Stuart Baker.
