Hundreds of people descended on Stanley Park’s Sports Arena to celebrate cycling in Blackpool.
The Big Blackpool Bike Bash was headlined by Danny Butler and The Extreme Mountain Bike Show, which wowed the crowds on Sunday.
As well as Team Extreme, visitors get to try out a multi-seater megabike and a pedal-powered Scalextric-style track. During the event, keen cyclists were given free bike safety advice and repairs through Blackpool Council’s Dr Bike team.
Adamena Banks, team leader for Travel Blackpool, said: “It went really well, everyone had a great time and we even had the weather for it.
“I’d say there were about 500 to 600 people in the park and we had some really good comments and feedback from people to Cycle Blackpool, including someone who said the event made them proud to live in Blackpool.
“The Extreme Mountain Bike Show went really well.”
Cycle star Danny said: “The Extreme Mountain Bike show are delighted to be a part of this year’s Blackpool Bike Bash. We are honoured to be able to show our talents in Blackpool, which is a place where many of our team riders have had great times growing up.”
He said the team hoped to inspire young talent for the future.
