CONCERNED victims of flooding will hold a crunch meeting with councillors and the emergency services in the New Year to discuss ways of protecting themselves against further devastation.
Roads in Preesall were shut last weekend when severe wet weather flooded Sunnyside Terrace, Lancaster Road and Cart Gate.
Firefighters were called out to the area in the early hours of the morning to pump the water away from homes, which suffered thousands of pounds of damage by September’s flooding.
The close call has prompted councillors, the emergency services and United Utilities to arrange a meeting on January 23 to come up with a plan to prevent water breaching homes.
