Police have released CCTV images of a woman they want to speak to after an unprovoked assault in Blackpool.

The attack took place at around 2am on March 20 when the victim, a 22-year-old woman, was on a night out at Che Bar, on Talbot Square.

The victim was approached by two women. One of them began talking to her but she could not hear them over the loud music.

She was then pushed onto a wooden table and punched in the face, leaving her with a bloody nose and swollen lip.

PC Victoria Reed said: “This was an unprovoked assault on a woman who was just trying to enjoy a night out with friends.

“I am very keen to speak to the woman captured on the CCTV images in connection with this incident and would urge anybody who knows who she is to contact us.”
