She was charged with drug offences following the death of a student – Harry Jones – at her home in Blackpool.

Sharon Nuttall, 41, of Garton Avenue, South Shore, faces two allegations of allowing her home to be used for taking of cannabis and diazepam.

She is further charged with selling diazepam, cocaine, amphetamine and cannabis.

Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said Nuttall’s case should be heard at Preston Crown Court on October 31.

The prosecutor told Blackpool Magistrates Nuttall was alleged to have sold a variety of drugs to
children over a three-year period.

“Unfortunately during that period a young man died,” she added.

A 16 year old – who cannot be named for legal reasons – stands co-accused with Nuttall on a charge of supplying cannabis.

Both were bailed to appear at the higher court.

It was in January this year that Harry Jones, 20, of The Knowle, North Shore, was found unconscious at a home in South Shore.

An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned.
