A TEENAGE skateboarder was punched in the head in a vicious assault in Cleveleys.

Police are now appealing for witnesses following the attack, which happened at the skate park, in Jubilee Gardens, on the Promenade.

The 15-year-old victim was on his bike in the park when he was approached by two other teenagers.

They pulled the boy down the skate ramp on his bike and then punched him in the face and the back of the head.

They then left the scene.

PC Andy Ward said: “This was a nasty, seemingly unprovoked attack on a young boy and I am very keen to trace the people responsible. Fortunately, the boy was only left with minor injuries but he was understandably shaken so I would ask anyone with any information to contact us.”

Police have now revealed the descriptions of the offenders involved in the incident which happened on Thursday, October 18.

The first boy is described as white, around 17-years-old, about 6ft 1in tall, with blond spiky hair. He was wearing a navy blue hooded top.

The second boy has been described as white and around 6ft 2in tall.

He was wearing a grey tracksuit with orange stripes.
