A woman who stole from three shops when she was having problems with her benefits had a warrant without bail issued for her arrest after she failed to return to court to be sentenced.
Rachel Allen, 33, of Shaw Road, South Shore, had pleaded guilty to three offences of theft.
Between May 4 and August 6 Allen stole £40 worth of meat from Asda, meat and coffee valued at £41 from Aldi and ham costing £16 from Tesco.
Jane Yates, prosecuting, said when interviewed Allen said she was having problems with her benefits and had rent and general household arrears.
Gary McAnulty, defending, said unfortunately Allen had relapsed into using heroin again.
