A FORMER market stall owner annoyed villagers by trying to play football with them while holding a bottle of vodka.
Brian Hindle lost his temper and started swearing when the villagers in Staining told him they did not want to play with him.
Hindle, 36, of Chain Lane, Staining, pleaded guilty to using threatening words and behaviour.
He was fined £105 with £45 costs and ordered to pay £15 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
Susan McNamara, prosecuting, said a group of men were playing football near Staining village hall about 10.15pm on August 8. Hindle then joined in while clutching a bottle of vodka. When the group objected Hindle started swearing.
Tony O’Brien, defending, said his client, who gave an early guilty plea, had endured difficulties with alcohol.
