Shocking new footage shows the moment a man was violently assaulted and twice knocked unconscious during a night out in Blackpool.
Police have released CCTV images as part of a fresh appeal for information about the attack on Queen Street, which left a 30-year-old man with a broken nose and severe bruising.
At around 12.15am on January 6, the victim was talking to a woman outside Roxy’s Bar when a group of men began to shout over.
The group approached them and the victim was punched several times in the face.
He was then followed as he made his way back up Queen Street and once outside Eatabout Takeaway he was punched again and knocked unconscious.
The male attacker and the rest of the group then went back to Roxy’s Bar where they were refused entry.
The victim, who is from the Blackpool area, was knocked out for a second time after being kicked in the head while he was still on the floor outside the takeaway.
PC Caroline Hopton said: “This was a very nasty and prolonged attack and we are very keen to trace the people involved.
“I would appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV images to contact police on 101.”
