Police are appealing for the public’s help in catching vandals who travelled along a quiet residential street targeting cars.
Officers have released CCTV images of people they believe may have information about two cars parked on Central Drive, in Ansdell, which were vandalised on the same night last month.
They say a Ford Focus was damaged while it was parked on the road, as someone used force against the side of the car, leaving the wing mirror hanging from the door.
They were able to leave the scene of the crime undetected. Police say the incident happened between 6pm on April 13 and 10am on April 14.
On the same night, police say, a dark Skoda Fabia was damaged, possibly by the same person.
They kicked at the side of the car, parked on the same road as the Ford, causing the wing mirror to break from the car.
Again the suspect left the scene unseen.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “We take incidents of vehicle crime very seriously.
“We urge Gazette readers to get in touch if they have any information about these crimes.”
Anyone who recognises the men in the photos, or has information about the incidents, is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
