A man who staged a seven-hour rooftop siege at a Blackpool house after attacking three police officers has been arrested
The man was seen throwing roof slates at police from the house on Bideford Avenue, off Newton Drive from 7pm on Sunday.
Police had been called to reports of a domestic incident where the man was threatening violence.
Three police officers were then assaulted.
Unconfirmed reports suggest a female police officer was punched in the face.
The man then fled through the loft to the roof.
Two police helicopters were scrambled with many people taking to Twitter and Facebook to complain about the noise into the early hours.
Police negotiators were called in and the man was eventually arrested at 2.20am on Monday.
Police say a 37-year-old man from Blackpool was arrested on suspicion of three counts of assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty and criminal damage.
