The M55 eastbound has reopened after a crash in which a car came off the road, down a grass embankment and onto its roof.
The road closures have been lifted and investigations by police have concluded.
Firefighters used spreaders and cutting equipment, together with paramedics, to assist getting the casualty onto a longboard and into ambulance.
The accident was involving a car and meant traffic was slow between junction three on A595, Kirkham, and junction one A6, Fulwood.
