Two men accused of raping a young teenage girl in Blackpool 18 years ago have made their first appearance at court.
Melvyn Andrew, 64, of Blythe Street, Barnsley, and Peter Lound, 61, of Malton Street, Sheffield, both of South Yorkshire, were bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 24 by Blackpool magistrates.
Andrew faces one charge of raping the 14-year-old girl between February 1995 and February 1996. Lound faces two charges of raping the girl and four offences of indecently assaulting her.
The defendants must not have unsupervised contact with children under 16 except with the authorisation of social services as a condition of their bail.
