An appeal has been launched after thieves stole controllers for games used by young visitors to Blackpool Victoria Hospital’s children’s clinic.
Hospital bosses say they are now desperate for new ones and are appealing for anyone with old Nintendo Wii or Playstation controllers to come forward.
Play Specialist at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Leanne Lamb, said: “It’s such a shame that they were stolen because the Wii and Playstation consoles really do help make the visit to hospital for children and their families much more enjoyable then they would be otherwise.
“We have managed to borrow a couple for a short time as a stop gap but really would love to hear from anyone who may be able to help.’’
Staff are looking for driving wheel style Wii controller and Playstation 3 controllers.
