A prolific thief has clocked up a criminal record of almost 300 offences.
Glen Stacey, 43, of Holmfield Road, North Shore, pleaded guilty to three offences of theft, and was bailed by Blackpool magistrates.
Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said between March 31 and April 21 Stacey stole £10 of meat plus salmon and fruit from the Co-Op, Abingdon Street, and a £25 jacket from Greenwoods Menswear.
Stacey had 296 previous offences, the majority for theft from shops.
Michael Woosnam, defending, said his client had been an alcoholic for 25 years.
