A teenager carried out four burglaries at Fylde schools.

Wilson William Latham was arrested after his fourth offence after a member of the public chased him and another youth as they left St George’s High School on Cherry Tree Road, Marton.

Latham, 18, of Braemar Walk, Layton, admitted burgling the school and stealing computers valued at £4,525.

He asked for three other burglaries to be considered. They took place at the Blackpool and The Fylde College, Bispham Endowed Primary and Montgomery High.

Latham was given a 16 weeks jail term suspended for a year. He was also ordered to pay £375 for an unrecovered laptop.
