The man, 19, from Lytham, was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.

A major investigation began after emergency services were called to the house on Lytham Road, Freckleton, at 11.30pm on January 7.

The four siblings, Reece Smith, 19, twin girls Holly and Ella Smith, four, and Jordan Smith, two, died from smoke inhalation after a wardrobe was allegedly set on fire in a bedroom where they were sleeping at their mother’s house.
