A teenager returned to his female friend’s flat while she was out working and stole £500 of property.
Shaka Watson climbed a ladder and got in through the open bedroom window.
Watson, 19, of Lytham Road, South Shore, admitted burglary and was sentenced to four months in prison by Blackpool magistrates.
Martine Connah, prosecuting, said Watson, who had stayed at the woman’s flat overnight, left when the woman went to work on September 3.
He later returned and stole her iPad, passport and handbag.
Steven Townley, defending, said his client had no previous convictions for burglary on his record.
