A TEENAGE girl bit her mother during a struggle for a mobile phone.
The 16-year-old from Blackpool, who can not be identified, also put a 15-year-old girl in a headlock and repeatedly punched her in the face, Blackpool Youth Court heard.
Brett Gerrity, prosecuting, said the victim was in a Bispham park on September 8 when the defendant started shouting at her, before assaulting her.
The youth was then in an argument with her mother on December 16 over a mobile phone. She bit her mother’s hand, causing teeth marks and reddening.
She admitted assaulting her mother, fraudulently using a credit card to buy £101 of clothing and breaching a six-month conditional discharge earlier imposed for an assault.
She was found guilty of assaulting the girl after a trial.
She was given a 12-month youth rehabilitation order and must pay a £15 victim surcharge.
