A BLACKPOOL teenager has been convicted of murdering a 19-year-old whose body was discovered in a South Shore alleyway.

Robert Heneghan, of Palatine Road, was found guilty of murdering Sam Bee, 19, after a trial at Preston Crown Court.

Heneghan, also 19, will be sentenced tomorrow.

Detectives launched an investigation after Mr Bee’s body was discovered in the rear yard of a hotel in the vicinity of Dean Street.

During the week-long trial, the court heard Mr Bee, from South Shore, had been stabbed in the chest at a flat on Dean Street on August 14 last year.

He fled the property by the back door but his body was discovered in an alleyway between Dean Street and Station Road later that night.

A post mortem examination revealed Mr Bee had died as a result of a single stab wound to the chest.
