A thief stole from a supermarket twice on successive days.
Christopher Adams, 38, of Hornby Road, stole two bottles of Jack Daniels and one bottle of Jim Bean each time he shoplifted at Booths on Highfield Road.
He was sentenced to pay compensation of £148 by Blackpool magistrates.
Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, said a CCTV operator recognised Adams as the man who had come into the store on March 18 and 17, each time stealing three bottles of whiskey valued together at £74. When apprehended Adams said he had sold all the whisky for £55.
Peter Manning, defending, said his client had battled drug and drink issues and no longer had a problem with either. Adams had stolen the whisky to sell and get money to buy food.
