Speeding on two roads in the Fylde coast is to be monitored by police and volunteers following concerns raised by residents.
Neighbours in the Heyhouses area say they are concerned about the speed of traffic on St Thomas’ Road.
And similar concerns have been raised by residents in Wrea Green on the main roads into the village.
Both areas will now be monitored as part of Community Road Watch, which sees police officers working together with volunteers at different sites.
Volunteers are trained how to use cameras which capture speeds and drivers can then be sent warning letters police visits and ultimately prosecutions can take place.
Fears about speeding in both areas were raised by residents at Police and Community Together meeting for the area.
