Residents in Blackpool and Fylde have been urged to keep their belongings secure after a series of thefts.
Police figures show high impact acquisitive crimes, including burglary and theft from vehicles, nearly doubled in the week beginning July 22 compared to the previous week.
Across Blackpool and Fylde there were 70 offences, including 47 burglaries, in the seven-day period.
The week before saw 43 offences across the same categories.
A police spokesman said: “Many of the crimes were from property or vehicles which were left insecure. Your insurance may be invalid if you fail to lock up.”
