JIMMY Savile sexually assaulted three children in Blackpool in the 1960s, police reports show.
It is alleged the shamed DJ – branded “one of the UK’s most prolific known sexual predators” – indecently assaulted two girls under 16 and seriously sexually assaulted a boy under 10 in the resort in 1961.
Lancashire Police is now investigating all three offences.
The revelations emerged in a chilling report by the Metropolitan Police and NSPCC that revealed Savile abused children as young as eight across six decades. He now has 214 criminal offences recorded against his name by 28 police forces, including 34 rapes.
It comes after The Gazette reported in October how Lancashire Police had received complaints from women claiming they were sexually abused by Savile, who died in 2011.
One woman, from Chorley, alleges she was abused by the late broadcaster when she was a teenager living in West Yorkshire in the 1960s.
The second woman, now living in Rossendale, says Savile abused her in Bedfordshire in the 1980s. Both were teenagers at the time of the incidents.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said they received two further complaints, which were not committed in the county, from victims who now live here.
