A WOMAN was more than twice over the limit when she drove after arguing with her partner.

Lisa Haddock, 33, of Rivington Avenue, Bispham, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.

She was banned from the road for 18 months and fined £200 with £85 costs plus the £15 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.

Martine Connah, prosecuting, said on November 30 at about 3am, police saw Haddock’s Rover swerve after almost hitting a kerb.

She was stopped in Bolton Street. A breath test showed 75 micrograms of alcohol in her body – 35 is the limit.

Patrick Nelligan, defending, said his client, who had no previous convictions, had been out for a meal and a drink.

She went to bed but was woken by her partner and there was a row. She decided to drive to her brother’s home.
