A COURT has given the go-ahead for a man to give a relationship a go after amending a restraining order made against him.
Andrew Payne was forbidden from seeing his girlfriend after being convicted of harassing her.
Payne, 26, of Waterside, North Shore, was then made the subject of a restraining order in August this year, which banned him from contacting her for 12 months.
But magistrates were yesterday told by defence lawyer Mitch Sarangi that the couple wanted to restart their relationship.
Mr Sarangi added: “The woman wrote to the court saying she no longer wished to have the protection of the order.”
Blackpool magistrates agreed to amend the order allowing Payne to see his girlfriend, but he is still banned from entering her home or street in Cleveleys.
