A visitor lashed out at a police officer hitting him in his stab vest and knocking him backwards, a court was told.
Lee Pegg, 42, of Pear Tree Close, Leicester, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.
He was fined £92 with £85 costs plus £20 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
Jackie Garratt, prosecuting, said Pegg was seen hitting out at a doorman at Yates on March 21.
Pegg was so aggressive towards a police officer he had to be pepper-sprayed, magistrates were told.
Pegg told magistrates he had come to the resort with four friends.
After he was refused a drink at Yates, he said a doorman hit him in the face, cutting his lip and blacking his eye. He added that this made him angry and more aggressive.
