A carer refused to move from the middle of the road when requested to do so by police.

Donna Ellwood, 41, of Aysgarth Court, South Shore, admitted breach of the peace and was bound over in the sum of £50 for six months by Blackpool magistrates.

Nigel Harrison, prosecuting, said police were called to Cookson Street near the Oasis Project where Ellwood was in the centre of the road on December 12.

She refused to move but police managed to get her to the side.

There was a struggle when she tried to return to the centre of the road.

Peter Manning, defending, said Ellwood had little recollection of what happened, but not because of drinking alcohol.

It was suspected she had mental health problems.
