Pram was used in theft by mother

Blackpool Magistrates Court

Blackpool Magistrates Court

A SINGLE mother-of-two stole from a supermarket by putting items in the bottom of pram and pushing it out without paying for them.

Natalie McIntyre, 24, of Kincraig Place, Bispham, pleaded guilty to theft when she appeared in the dock at Blackpool Magistrates Court.

Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said that McIntyre had gone into Sainsburys, Bispham, with two children at 4.30am on January 10.

One was in a pram and she stole £31 worth of goods by putting them in the bottom of the pram and wheeling it out of the shop.

Malcolm Cartwright, defending, said money had been extremely tight for McIntyre after Christmas and she desperately needed certain items for the children.

The defendant was given a 12 months conditional discharge by magistrates.

She was also ordered to pay £85 costs plus a £15 victims’ surcharge by the court.
