Officers have been forced to respond to a number of recent incidents on the Moor Park industrial estate.

Most have involved fires being set on waste ground.

None of the incidents has resulted in serious damage but police are concerned about the increasing frequency.

A spokesman for Blackpool Police said: “Due to an increase in nuisance refuse fires in the area of Moor Park industrial estate, patrols have been stepped up by the Ingthorpe and Greelands Neighbourhood team.

“If you have any information regarding these incidents please call 101.”
