This is the man who police want to speak to after meat was stolen from a Fylde store.

The CCTV image has been released in a last ditch bid to identify the suspect.

Officers say meat worth £80 was taken from the Co-operative store on Weeton Road, Wesham.

It is thought the offender concealed the items in a red bag before making off without paying for them.

Inquiries so far have failed to identify the man pictured and police are appealing for help to track him down. The incident took place on December 4 but police have now released the CCTV image after other lines of inquiry hit a brick wall.

PC Jennifer Rigby, of Blackpool Police, said: “One male walked into the shop down the first aisle, to the back of the store where a quantity of meat was removed from the fridge and concealed in a large red
re-useable bag before
leaving the shop without paying.”

He is described as around 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build, with short dark and black rimmed glasses. He wore dark trousers, trainers, a dark coat and a dark top underneath. Call police on 101 with information.
