Police want to talk to this man after a vacuum cleaner worth hundreds of pounds was taken from a Blackpool supermarket.

The man allegedly picked up the Dyson DC59A – valued at £349.99 – at the Sainsbury’s on Talbot Road, before walking out without paying.

Police have now released this CCTV image in a bid to help track down the suspect.

The man, thought to be in his 20s, was wearing a high visibility vest when he was in the store on February 23.

The theft took place shortly after 2.40pm.

PC Jeanette Ashurst, of Blackpool Police, is investigating.

She said: “The male entered the store at 2.43pm, selected a Dyson DC59A valued at £349.99 and left the store without paying for the item.”

The man is described as white, approximately 5ft 6ins tall and in his early 20s.

PC Ashurst added: “He has short brown hair and wore a dark hoodie, high visibility vest, blue tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.”

Anyone with information about the offence, or who recognises the man pictured, is asked to call PC Ashurst at Blackpool Police on 101.
