Four valuable racing bikes were stolen in raids at two homes.

Police are today urging residents to be vigilant following the incidents in Poulton.

Officers believe the bikes were deliberately targeted.

The first two bikes, a £350 yellow and black Carrera bike and a £270 14-speed Coyote Big Sur, were taken from a house on Normoss Road, overnight between March 29 and 30.

And the second theft happened after thieves prised open the wooden garage doors of a property on Rutland Avenue, Poulton.

A £750 men’s Dolan bike and a £500 ladies giant bike were taken sometime between April 1 and 2.

PC Dave Key, community beat manager for Poulton, said: “They are expensive bikes which possibly means they have been deliberately targeted.”

Call police on 101.
