A pensioner was left with a bleed on his brain after being attacked in the early hours of the morning.

The 65-year-old was taking money out of a cash machine in Lytham Road, South Shore, at around 1.30am, when two men punched him and stole cash and his card.

He fell and hit his head on the floor before being found and taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Detectives investigating the robbery, which happened on July 14, only yesterday released pictures of the man they want to trace.

DC Andy Gilmour of Blackpool CID said: “The victim was left with a serious injury and our investigation remains on-going.

“We are keen to speak to the two pictured in connection with our enquiries and if anyone recognises them or has any information about what happened then please contact us.”
