A PAIR who carried out a sickening attack on a man they befriended in a pub have been jailed for a total of more than eight years.
Sharon Lyndsay, 31, and 27-year-old Adam Marsden met their victim in a pub on Blackpool promenade, where he was having a drink with another man he knew.
The group went back to Marsden’s home on Reads Avenue and Lyndsay and Marsden then set upon the 41-year-old.
Marsden punched the man to the head and then pushed a blunt instrument into his ear.
Lyndsay stubbed out cigarettes on his eye lids and face and then pulled down his trousers and burnt his legs and groin with a hot iron.
At a previous court appearance Lyndsay, of Tyrone Avenue, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to a section 18 wounding offence and Marsden to a section 47 actual bodily harm offence.
Appearing at Preston Crown Court today, Lyndsay was sentenced to six and a half years in prison and Marsden to 20 months in jail.
Marsden was also given an extra three months for breaching a suspended sentence.
