Detectives investigating the murder of a 23-year-old man have named the victim as Thomas Poole.
Officers said Mr Poole who lived in Blackpool was found with head injuries when police were called to an incident at a house in Ribble Road, off Central Drive, Blackpool, at around 8am yesterday.
He was taken by ambulance to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where he died at around 9.30am.
A post mortem examination has shown that Mr Poole died of a head injury.
Mr Poole’s family have been informed of his death and are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
Four Blackpool men aged 20, 22, 26 and 27 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in custody being questioned by detectives.
An incident room has been set up at Blackpool Police Station and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
