POLICE are questioning three men on suspicion of murder after a man was found in a Blackpool alley.
James Whitelaw was discovered unconscious and with serious head injuries in an alleyway behind Regent Road at around 10pm last Friday.
The 46-year-old, who is originally from Glasgow, was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital but sadly died from his injuries in the early hours of Monday morning.
A Home Office postmortem examination has revealed Mr Whitelaw died of blunt force trauma to the head.
Three men, two aged 22 and a 21-year-old, all from Blackpool, were arrested on suspicion of murder this morning and are now being quizzed by detectives at Blackpool’s Bonny Street police station.
