Mourners at a memorial service for four siblings who died in a house fire in Freckleton have told a court about comments made by Dyson Allen.
Jessica Verinakis, who had been friends with Allen since primary school, said she saw the defendant in the Station Tavern pub, following the service at St John’s Church in Lytham.
She told the court Allen approached her and asked her to go outside with him. Outside, Miss Verinakis said Allen told her he was leaving to go to Liverpool the following day.
She said: “He was basically saying ‘I don’t know what to do’. The look in his eyes...I’ve never seen so much fear as I saw in his eyes that day.
“I’ve no idea what he was thinking at that time. Maybe he had been involved in the fire?”
Allen, 19, of no fixed address, denies four counts of murder and four counts of manslaughter after four siblings died in the blaze on January 7, 2012.
