A motorcyclist who was seriously injured following a collision in Pilling last month has died.

Michael Tyson, 66, from Knott End, died on April 2 after the collision in Head Dyke Lane in Pilling around 12.30pm on March 10.

It is thought Mr Tyson’s Honda motorcycle was travelling towards Lancaster when it was involved in a collision with a Fiat Stilo.

Mr Tyson was taken to Royal Preston Hospital but police confirmed he died on Thursday.

Officers have appealed again for information after the incident.

PC Adam Lloyd of the Road Policing Unit said: “This is a tragic incident where a man has sadly lost his life and my thoughts remain with his family and friends at this time.

“An investigation into how the collision occurred is on-going but I would re-appeal to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to us and may have seen either vehicle leading up to the collision or the collision itself to come forward.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting log number 460 of March 10.
