A woman lost control when she wanted to see her two year old son.
Sarah Murgatroyd, 34, assaulted her former partner who was looking after the youngster, Blackpool Magistrates heard.
Murgatroyd, of Morley Road, Blackpool, admitted breaching a non-molestation order forbidding her from contacting her husband.
She also admitted assaulting him.
She was given an 18-week jail term suspended for 18 months.
The court heard that the couple had split up and as a result Sarah Murgatroyd became depressed and turned to alcohol.
She became violent towards her former partner and as a result become the subject of the non-molestation order.
However when she walked past the house where she knew her husband was living with their son she went inside.
She then confronted her husband and started to hit him on the head.
As he tried to halt her she bit him on the arm.
Alan Godwin, defending, said that his client was trying to sort her life out and had found employment.
“What she wants is some sort of contact with her son but her husband will not have it,” said the lawyer.
