Man used drugs two days after court

Blackpool Magistrates Court

Blackpool Magistrates Court

A MAN was caught with cocaine only two days after being before a court for having the drug.

Kyle Fletcher, 22, of Butlers Meadow, Warton, pleaded guilty to illegally possessing the Class A drug and breaching a conditional discharge.

He was sentenced to six months supervision and ordered to pay £85 costs by Blackpool magistrates, who ordered the destruction of the drugs.

Brett Gerrity, prosecuting, said Fletcher was searched in Blackpool on August 12 and a small wrap of cocaine found on him.

Just two days before, he had appeared at court and been given a 12-month conditional discharge for cocaine possession.

Patrick Nelligan, defending, said police had seen people acting suspiciously in two cars and stopped the one Fletcher was in. He immediately handed over the drugs.
