A MAN was stabbed in the back during a shocking pub attack in Blackpool.
The 41-year-old victim was repeatedly punched in the head before being stabbed while he was in the toilets of The Hop Inn on King Street.
Police confirmed he suffered a collapsed lung and was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
A police spokesman said: “The man has been punched in the head and then stabbed in the back with an unknown implement.
“He got a taxi to his parents’ house and was then taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital by ambulance.
“He had head and back injuries, including a collapsed lung.”
Detectives are now scouring CCTV footage in a bid to identify the attacker, who struck between 6pm and 6.20pm on Saturday and have asked anyone with information to get in touch.
