A man told the woman expecting his baby “I hope you die in childbirth”.
Mark Davies, 31, admitted sending threatening and offensive messages to his former partner.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said the couple had been in a relationship for two and a half years. The complainant had one child by Davies and was expecting another. The relationship had soured and Davies had appeared before the court previously after he had thrown boots at her. The couple had separated but Davies began texting and sending messages on her Facebook account.
One of the messages contained the threat about childbirth and in another he threatened the woman’s life.
The complainant called in police and showed them the messages and Davies was arrested. When he was interviewed Davies told police he sent the messages after he had not slept or eaten for five days.
Davies of Westfield Road, Blackpool, was ordered to undergo pre-sentence reports by resort magistrates.
