Police have launched an appeal for information after a man was viciously attacked following a fight outside a town centre bar.
Officers have asked for witnesses after two men were thrown out of Ma Kellys club in Lytham Road on May 7.
A 30-year-old man tried to break up the pair after they started fighting, but was then attacked and knocked unconcious.
While on the floor his head was then stamped on.
Police have only just released the information.
A spokesman for Lancashire police said: “We are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Blackpool last month.
“At around 11.25pm on Thursday, May 7, an altercation has taken place in Ma Kellys on Lytham Road in the town which resulted in two men being ejected from the premises.
“It is thought that the altercation has then continued on the street with the victim, a 30-year-old, being punched and knocked unconscious as he tried to break the fight up.
“While on the floor, the man’s head was stamped on.”
He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where he was treated for a head injury which was glued and stitched.
