A Blackpool visitor punched his girlfriend to the floor in the middle of a Blackpool hotel foyer.

They then came back in and he hit her. She did not make a formal complaint.

To try and make it better they had come to Blackpool for the weekend. He said they argued, and he lost it.
Barr apologised to magistrates and said he hoped to get back with his girlfriend.
He was sentenced to a 12-month conditional discharge with up to 20 days’ rehabilitation to be supervised by the probation service, fined £25 with £85 costs and ordered to pay a £150 court charge plus £60 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
